Getting started with QayyimAI
Signing in, setting up your shop, roles & permissions, and the app layout.

Signing in
QayyimAI signs you in with your phone number and a 4-digit PIN — there is no email/password in this system.
After 5 wrong PIN attempts the account locks automatically for 15 minutes to protect it from guessing.
No one can self-register — the OWNER or a MANAGER creates every account from Settings → Users.
Roles & permissions
QayyimAI has four roles: OWNER, MANAGER, CASHIER, and EMPLOYEE.
• OWNER: every permission without exception, including profit/capital, user management, and sensitive shop settings.
• MANAGER: day-to-day sales/inventory/customer/employee management, without access to profit/capital.
• CASHIER: selling at POS, adding customers, recording payments — a deliberately narrow daily-work scope.
• EMPLOYEE: limited read access and only tasks assigned to them.
Permissions are enforced on the server for every action — hiding a button is not what blocks an action; the role check on every request is.
First-time shop setup
After the OWNER account exists, the first two practical steps are adding a first product and a first customer — the dashboard shows a guided onboarding card with direct links until the shop's first sale happens.
Set the shop name, primary currency (LBP or USD), and tax (if applicable) from Settings before real selling begins.
Language & connectivity
QayyimAI supports Arabic (the default, right-to-left) and English — switch with the (ع / EN) button in the topbar without losing your place.
QayyimAI Web requires an internet connection for every business operation — it does not work offline and does not store business data locally in the browser. Losing connectivity shows a reconnect screen.
Full offline operation (sales, inventory, customers, reports with later sync) is only available in the QayyimAI Desktop app — see the “Desktop app” category.
